Because we own and run our children’s nursery school, we are all responsible for making sure everything runs smoothly. Parent responsibilities are divided into two categories: committee participation and promoting our school. We may ask for extra help from volunteers from time to time. Failure to comply with responsibilities could result in a financial penalty or, in extreme cases, a request to withdraw from the school.


You will be required to serve on one of the committees or on the executive. Your participation is mandatory to facilitate operation of the nursery school with the Day Nurseries Act. You may select a committee that will utilize your many skills and strengths; however, if you do not select a committee or executive position you will be assigned to the one where you are most needed.

Promoting Our School

All parents will be responsible for helping to promote our school in order to fill available spaces in programs. All families will be required to assist in at least one of the following events (failure to do so will result in a fee being charged):

  • Richmond Fair Parade Float (September)
  • E-Waste Recycling (Date varies)
  • Gingerbread Social (December) coincides with the Richmond Santa Claus Parade
  • Community Event TBD (May/June)
