A Typical Day in the 2-3 Year Old Program

9:00-9:15
Meet and greet children and parents as they arrive.

9:15-9:45
Teachers and Duty Day Parents interact and play with the children. Open the activity room to a small group of children. Introduce the art activity for the day.

9:45-10:00
Teachers begin a bathroom routine for those children who are trained/training (Free play continues during this time)

10:00-10:05
Tidy-up time

10:05-10:20
Wash hands in the bathroom for snack
Distribute snacks and juice

10:20-10:35
Conclude snack and gather as one large group in the smaller activity room. Partake in circle which may include: songs, games, musical instruments, stories

10:35-10:45
Prepare for outdoor play

10:45-11:00
Outdoor play (Dismissal occurs from the playground).

A Typical Day in the 3-4 Year Old Program

9:00-9:20
Meet and greet children and parents as they arrive, children begin structured free-play.

9:20-9:35
Cognitive circle in the activity room (This circle may include: calendar, weather, a fun movement song, letter of the week, discussing the art activity for the day, etc)

9:35-10:15
The children may choose from a variety of structured free play activities.
Activity room is opened to a small group of children.
Art activity begins at the art table.
Bathroom routine is started at approximately 10:00am while the children continue with their activities.

10:15-10:50
Tidy-up and divide into two groups: (these groups switch after approx. 15 min.)

Group One:
- Wash hands in the bathroom
- Distribute snacks and juice
- Conclude snack and partake in circle
Group Two:
- Gather in the activity room for circle
- Wash hands in the bathroom
- Distribute snacks and juice
(This circle may include: stories, songs, cognitive/turn-taking games, social activities, etc.)

10:50-11:00
Prepare for outdoor play

11:00-11:20
Outdoor play (Dismissal occurs from the playground)
